Christie’s sells close to 11 million CHF worth of unique watches for charity.

Some of the finest watchmakers of the world have created and donated one-of-a-kind timepieces that were auctioned at Christie’s in Geneva on Saturday (November 11). The seventh edition of the biennial Only Watch charity-auction, created by Luc Pettavino, a former managing director of the Monaco Yacht Show, raised in total CHF 10,776,500. Established in 2005 the Only Watch is a non-profit organisation that raises founds for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a severe and progressive degenerative disease caused by a deficiency in the protein dystrophin, which helps keep muscle cells intact. The auction was also organised under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and gathered a record 50 participating brands
